How To Set Up Attendance Register In Brightspace

1. Locate: Locate the Attendance tool

Find the Attendance tool on the Class Admin page.

  1. Click on Course Admin in the navigation bar.

2. Create: Build an omnipresence annals or registers

An attendance register is a grouping of class meetings and is the offset step to using the Omnipresence tool.

For example, if yous plan to track daily class attendance, y'all would create a unmarried annals that contains individual sessions for each date your class meets.

If limiting to groups or sections, click theAdd Groups/Sections push and select the appropriate group category or section.Select to include all users or to limit the attendance register to certain groups or sections.

  9. ClickRelieve to save your attendance register.
  10. ClickClose.

3. Edit: Make changes to an existing attendance register

  7. By default, D2L provides three attendance statuses for your scheme. If you lot would like more than three, enter the number of additional statuses you would like in the Add together Statuses field and clickAdd together Statuses. To apply the new scheme to a register:

Note: The omnipresence scheme can simply be inverse if omnipresence data has not already been entered in that register.

  3. ClickSalvage to save the changes.
  4. ClickSave on the confirmation window that opens.

5. Delete: Remove an attendance scheme from your course

To enter the same attendance data for for selected participants:

  1. Click the action bill of fare of the attendance register y'all want to enter attendance data for (down arrow to the right) and select View Attendance Data.

  3. Check the box side by side to the name of each student you'd like to give the same condition to and clickPrepare Condition.Check the boxes next to the names of students you want to set the same status for and click Set Status
  4. Use the Status dropdown menu to select the desired attendance status.Choose the status you want to give the selected students using the dropdown menu and click Save
  5. ClickRelieve on the Set Status for Selected Users window.
  6. ClickSave on the Set Attendance Data screen.

  To enter attendance information for all participants:

  1. Click the activeness menu of the attendance register you want to enter attendance data for (down arrow to the right) and select View Attendance Data.

  3. ClickReady Status for All Users located nigh the elevation of the screen.Click Set Status for All Users to give the same status to everyone in the register

  6. ClickSave on the Set Omnipresence Data screen.
